Details

This 19th-century micromosaic is hand-set and depicts a spaniel resting on a verdant lawn. Framed by a flat gold bezel accented with luminous pearls and finished with a graceful hinged bale, this is a true miniature work of art. Micromosaics such as this one were prized as keepsakes of European travel, and this one has been beautifully reimagined by Elizabeth Locke as a jewel to be worn and cherished, giving new life to this historic treasure.
