Details

This antique 19th-century micromosaic depicts Rome's famed Capitoline Steps, the celebrated approach to the hilltop piazza designed by Michelangelo. Composed of hundreds of tiny mosaic tiles, micromosaics are prized for their precision and enduring historical significance. The scene is framed by a finely crafted godron bezel and accented with cushion-cut peridots flanked by brilliant faceted demantoid garnets. Thoughtfully finished with a fold-down detachable bale, it may be worn as a pendant or as a brooch, a timeless expression of micromosaic artistry.
